Hi Dear Viewers!

I’d like to once again take a moment to share with you what I’m going to be working on over the next few months…

Firstly, having completed the Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth core set…

I’m going to be moving straight onto the three awesome villains contained in the Villians of Eriador expansion pack:

As with the figures covered so far I’ll be mostly using the basic set of paints already introduced in the series, but as I’ve lately been experimenting with the Citadel Contrast Colours I may be incorporating some of them into the painting where I feel they offer a genuine advantage…

Next, I’ll finally be tackling the one figure in my last “Coming Soon” that I didn’t get round to – the mighty King’s Man from Kingdom: Death Monster:

As usual for this series I’ll be applying some more advanced techniques to try to do the figure justice.  On a side note, I’m planning to begin a fresh campaign of KDM with some friends quite soon, so you may notice a bit more content from me on this game going forward…

Finally – alongside plenty more Clone Wars content, I will soon be starting a brand new series for the soon-to-be-released Marvel: Crisis Protocol miniatures game by Atomic Mass Games.

I’ve always wanted to take on the super hero genre, so when MCP was announced at GenCon in the Summer I was pretty excited to say the least!  In preparation for the release I’ve been working on some terrain – both for playing the game on, but to also give me an attractive setting to shoot the miniatures against.

Regular followers of my social media will already have seen some of what I’ve been working on, but here’s a few shots of what I’ve got so far:

Once the scenery is complete I’ll do my best to put together a guide to share what techniques and resources I’m using to create the build, but I’d certainly like to mention now what a big help Mel the Terrain Tutor‘s videos have been, and highly recommend watching his work if you’re interested in developing your terrain-building skills, plus I used his “Making Urban Wargaming Boards” video as the basis for the MDF tiles that the terrain is built upon (although I varied the scale and some of the details etc.).

That’s all for this “Coming Soon”.  I hope you’re as excited as I am about painting and playing some of these stunning miniature-based games; what a great time to be alive!

Sorastro.
