Today I’d like to share a PDF painting guide for Leia Organa Freedom Fighter from the “Ee Chee Wa Maa!” Squad Pack for Star Wars: Shatterpoint!

As is often the case, there’s a bit of a difference between the look of the original costumes and how they appear in the movies, and in this case I leant more towards the original outfit – especially when choosing the colours for the helmet (in the film the rim appears more like a teal colour, and the poncho generally less vibrant).

I obviously strived to paint the face as beautifully as I could, taking care to try to capture some of the little volumes around the mouth especially – using pictures of Carrie Fisher as reference.

I could perhaps have spent longer blending some of the camo design, but once it reached a certain level of “bluriness” I felt it looked good enough:

And that’s another squad ready to hit the table!
