Zombies Incoming!

Hello!

Welcome to the very first post on my new website which just has to be about ZOMBIES!

I’ve been overwhelmed by the response my first Zombicide: Black Plague painting tutorial has had so far, not to mention that it’s had a higher view count in its first five days than any of my other videos.

So thank you if you have watched, liked, commented on, or shared the video to help spread the word.  It sure took more hours to create than any of my previous tutorials – mostly due to the number of miniatures involved but also the product comparisons and composing of a fresh soundtrack etc.

I can’t wait to get started on the necromancer, abomination and – of course – the heroes, but first I have the last of the base-set Imperial Assault miniatures to complete. ..

Happy Painting!

PS below you will find a zip file containing all of the image files that form the appendix to the tutorial for ease of reference:

I really liked that video. It will help me with painting the miniatures for mantic’s walking dead game. I have never painted zombies before so this will be a challenge for me. I am use to painting solid colors like the ones for imperial assault. I hope those and these will help me with doom the board game (out of print ) and cryptozoic’s ghostbusters the board game. I look forward to more of you IA and zombicide videos. I do hope you continue with the ally and villain packs plus the expansions of IA.

    Happy painting!

Thanks a lot Gary! I certainly will be continuing with the IA expansions (+ally and villains) 🙂

That video was great, I started on my hoard before you uploaded it but I based it on your previous tutorials. My attempts are up here https://boardgamegeek.com/image/2940774/jislizard

I am going to ditch the Army Painter Crusted Sore paint (Too pink/purple) and go with your Tamiya Clear Red recommendation for future blood effects.

I haven’t painted anything since the early 90’s and I was a bit concerned over ruining the miniatures if I gave it a half-hearted attempt.

The videos demystified a lot of the process and there is nothing like practice to improve your skills. I have now started on the heroes so I am looking forward to seeing the tutorials on those.

Is there some place where you put the list of used paints in text format (as in the appendix pictures)? I use Vallejo paints and always lookup an equivalent, so having the names in a text listing would speed up the process. Just a small though for your great tutorials! 🙂

Hi again! I usually include a paint list in each video description in YouTube but as the colour choices for the zombies were somewhat “free form” (i e it doesn’t really matter which specific colours you chose) it didn’t really seam necessary 🙂

Thanks for a quick reply! That makes sense – I’ll make sure to read the description on your other videos 🙂

I’ve watched this video several times and I’ve just picked up everything I would need to paint my Zombicide BP set.
Allready used some of your tips and techniques for my Legion. But I’m going to 100% copy this, looks like a quick and straighforward way to get a nicely painted set.
    Thanks!
