Today I’d like to share a PDF Painting Guide for Hela from Atomic Mass Games’ Marvel: Crisis Protocol:

I deliberated quite a bit over the colour scheme for Hela because she’s quite a busy figure and there’s so much green!  This presents a bit of challenge if you want to separate the different parts, and avoid things looking too “cluttered”.

So as you can see I decided to make a focal point out of the spell effect in her outstretched arm, and I used a slightly more muted tone for the swirling smoke rising from the ground.

Overall I found Hela a joy to paint, and can’t wait to get her to the table to start collecting all those lovely souls…!
