Hi Dear Viewers!

It’s been a while since my last video so I thought I’d share a brief update to let you know what I’ve been up to, and what videos will be coming out over the coming months…

Firstly I’d like to thank you for the kind reception of my last video – The Butcher from Kingdom Death: Monster:

The Kingdom Death series is one in which I tend to cut loose a bit and push the limits of my own painting in order to achieve the look I’m searching for.  At fifty eight minutes, the video itself is my longest yet due to the density of ideas contained on the mini, and it took most of January for me to produce, so I was very relieved to see it being well received, and am incredibly grateful for the kind feedback given by my viewers!  I will be continuing the series in due course with the Kingsman, although not for a little while…

Next I must apologise for the current slow pace of my output; I’m enduring some disruption on the domestic front as we’re currently having a long-overdue kitchen renovation, and I’m sure you can imagine how the noise, dust, and frequent loss of power might impact my work!

I’m doing my best to get things done however which means both of my Star Wars series will soon be receiving new videos very soon (including Shyla Varad for Imperial Assault).

I have also begun work on a brand-new series for the recently-announced game: The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle Earth by Fantasy Flight Games.  Many of you will know that I’m a big fan of solo and co-op games, and I’m also a huge Tolkien fan, so this is a game that I simply have to paint!  This will also hopefully be a nice opportunity for any new painters out there to get started in the hobby.

Although I’ve yet to receive the game, I’ve begun – as I often do with a new series – by working on some of the music first, as I like each series to have it’s own musical identity to help capture the flavour of the world in which the game is set.  (I’m also in the middle of re-reading the book for about the 10th time!)  This is a game I’m extremely excited about and I’m aiming to have at least the first video completed by around the time of the game’s launch…

That’s all for this “Coming Soon”.  I very much hope to meet some of you at the Star Wars Celebration in Chicago next month!

Sorastro.

Cutting loose KDM? Noooo, there are SO MANY really cool minis left. I don’t dare to paint the Phoenix as of yet.

Don’t worry – I will certainly be painting some more KDM! It’s just that they take a lot more time to paint (as I like to take them to a more advanced standard) so it will just be a more slow-moving series is all. 😀
