Gloomhaven Painting Guide: Spellweaver

Hi Dear Viewers!

I’d like to share with you the next PDF guide in the Gloomhaven series which is for the Spelleweaver, and which you can download here!

Spell Weaver Complete 2-3

I feel that the Spellweaver is deceptively simple to paint, provided you make full use of some zenithal highlights, keep the paints well thinned, and restrict the colour palette.

I hope you find the guide useful, and have a great weekend!

Happy Painting!

Sorastro.

PS I’d like to thank my kind patrons on Patreon for funding these guides, and I’d also like to share an affiliate link to the Rosemary & Co Series 8 and Series 33 brushes that I love to use (sizes 1 or 2 – “Short handle”), and here’s an affiliate link to Element Games where I buy most of my other hobby supplies.  Thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing!

One question for you: In this tutorial, you use primer and watered-down paint as a way of showing light and shadow on the Spellweaver. However, in another tutorial, for KD:M’s White Lion, you used the primer only as a guide; after priming, you painted the lion with a color gradient and covered the primer entirely. Why the difference in approaches? Is one better than the other?

Again, thank you for your tutorials. My wife and I are just about to purchase Gloomhaven, and I am extremely excited about getting into miniature painting.
