Today I have a quick PDF painting guide for one of the Shoretroopers from Star Wars: Legion for you.
Lately I’ve been experimenting with the Citadel Contrast Colours and although I’m not always a fan of how they look when used as advertised (i.e. used neat over a flat prime) I am beginning to appreciate how effective they can be when used over zenithal highlights, and also as a substitute for the Shades.
Overall this was a pretty fast paint job, but I hope you find some of the colours and techniques useful when approaching your own Shoretroopers or something similar.

Hi Sorastro. I agree. I achieved a similar effect of the red glow on Darth Vader using a Contrast Red medium mix. It was my first attempt at indirect lighting. I liked it and so did my son.

Q- would Citadel’s – Screaming skull make an o.k replacement for the VMC Buff?..
Those Contrast paints work well/better on Organic parts as compared to flat armor panels etc
very tricksy to use it on the clothing & weapon 😉
