Today I’d like to share a PDF painting guide for Red Skull from Atomic Mass Games’ Marvel: Crisis Protocol:

I actually painted Red Skull early last month – partly as a way of testing out some of the colours I was planning to use in the Thor episode.

The basic premise of my approach was to use a slightly warm dark grey for the clothes in order maximise the contrast with the cold, blue light coming from the Cosmic Cube.

You can see I’ve pushed the lighting effect quite far for a somewhat exaggerated effect, and you could certainly aim for something more subtle if you like!
