Today I’d like to share a PDF painting guide for Laurie and Reiko from the solo board game – Final Girl!

I took the same approach to painting Laurie and Reiko as I did with Hans the Butcher, by using thin layers of paint over some “off-zenithal” highlights to create a moody atmosphere quite quickly, and with a minimal amount of additional shading or highlighting.

Here you can see the directional lighting I applied before starting to add the colour:

Ordinarily I prefer to aim for a more saturated look, with more tonal variation as each colour progresses from shadow to mid tone to highlights, but with such super tiny miniatures as these, I chose to sacrifice tonal richness for speed and efficiency.

Even with a pretty quick paint job, the minis come to life quite nicely though!
